A working door, a different key
A move or a change in occupants can leave a perfectly usable door with an uncertain collection of key copies. In that situation, discuss lock rekeying before assuming the whole handleset needs replacement. The cylinder and condition still need to be suitable; appearances alone do not settle that question.
Make an inventory of the entrances you want included and note which keys currently fit them. A front door and a rear door may use different mechanisms even when their finishes match. A clear inventory also helps explain whether your aim is fewer keys, changed access or both.
